Brooks Revival

As the 1990's rolled along this country got very politically correct to avoid lawsuits based on discrimination. As political corrrectness took over the main stream, those who thrived on making fun of everybody had to tone it down. No one, in my opinion, was hit harder by this than Mel Brooks. The man who had a Black Sheriff, a Nazi Playwrite, and a Drewish Princess had to settle for making "Robin Hood-Men in Tights" because no studio would make the movie's he wanted to make becuase of fear of lawsuit.
S0 back in 2000, Mel decided to see what he could get out of an old Idea in a new form and created the TONY winning "The Producers:The Musical". With that sucess, Mel has recently finished the first draft of "Young Frankenstein: The Musical".
And now comes news that the G4 network ordered 13 episodes of "Spaceballs: The Cartoon"
And in that article, he claims that he might actually make "History of the World: Part II"
I Am so excited about these new projects that I'm proposing a few more for Mel (because we all know the funniest man alive reads my blog religiously)
"To Be or Not To Be: The Video Game - Escape from Poland"
New reality show "Who Wants to be a Jew in Space?"
And to make today's world happy - the Short-and I mean really short-Film "Blazing Saddles: Pollitically Corrtect.

Second Colum at DDS
A few weeks ago I let you all know that I had an article posted at DeepDishSports.com about my beloved Cubs.
Well, as football season starts, I had to write an article on THE beloved. So everyone enjoy, and hopefully noone will be offended. Remember- The site exists to satirize the Chicago sports scene.
Sweetness' Window says Walter Would've Won "Dancing With The Stars"

Weird Al
Three time Grammy Winner "Weird" Al Yankovich is coming out with his 12th Album on Sept. 26th Titled "Straight outta Lynnwood"
Some of the singles are already making their way to the web.
"White and Nerdy" is on my MySpace page
"Don't Download this Song" is on Al's MySpace Page
What really excites me about this is that there will be 8 Video's on a Dual Disk release.
"White & Nerdy" will be a live action video. The other 7 will be Animated. The "Don't Download This Song" Video is available (ironically) to be downloaded on Yahoo Music.
The creative team at "Robot Chicken" will me doing a stop motion Video for the song "Weasel Stomping Day" and it will premeir on Cartoon Network 10:30pm September 24th.
Ren & Stimpy cartoonist John Kricfalusi will be doing the Video for "Close but no Cigar"
Songs I'm getting excited about just by hearing the titles are "Trapped in a Drive Thru" parody of R. Kelly's "Trapped in a Closet" and "Canadian Idiot" a parody of Green Day's "American Idiot" someone told me it's a song about Willam Shatner, but I can't confirm this.
