The Obits continue

Back in 1995 I was working at AM 1000 in Chicago as a producer for a Saturday Night Show "Harry & Spike". The best part of that year was feeling a part of Northwestern's Big 10 Championship. Every Saturday Night as they beat Notre Dame, Wisconson, Michigan we would have on players such as Steve Shcnur, Darnell Autry, & Pat Fitzgerald. I'll never forget working New years Day with NU in the Rose Bowl. We even got Charlton Heston on the air during half time. That year I became a Northwestern Football fan.

Since that time Northwestern has had a Coaching change to Randy Walker. Walker has taken the Wildcats to Three Bowl games in his 7 years here (the most ever for any NU coach) and has the second most wins in team history.

Last night, at age 52, Coach Walker died of an apparent Heart Attack.

I don't know why 1/2 of my last posts have been Obits. Probably because when you lose someone or somthing that has given you a sense of joy in your life, you just need a way of closure.

Back to Northwestern, I'm hoping Linebackers Coach and two time NCAA Defensive player of the year for NU in 95-96- Pat Fitzgerald- gets the job.
