Why do I keep writing 1986 on my Checks today

11 Days ago the Bears Season ended on a disappointing note. But 20 years ago today, it ended in a triumphant crescendo.
For my father's Generation, they say you never forget where you were when you found out Kennedy was assassinated. For my generation, they say you never forget where you were when the Challenger Exploded. But for any Chicago Sports Fan over the age of 25, You will never forget where you were when the Bears Dominated the Patriots 46-10 in Superbowl XX. My brother and I spent the weekend at a friend of my brother's (Brent Lewis) at the Cove Landings Condo's in Lombard. We played D&D all morning, and then watched the game at 3:00 in the afternoon (remember the 3:00 kickoff for a Superbowl)
My parents went to New Orleans. My dad bought one ticket, watched the first half while my mom waited in a bar. At Half-time (and this is soooooo pre-9-11) some Patriot fans were leaving and threw their ticket stubs on the ground, my dad picked them up. They let people leave the Superdome and come back in back in the day. So my dad went across the street, got my mom, and they both watched the second half from the 40 yard line. Not many women would do that.
Anyway, I don't have much to say about me in this post right now. The new job/owner is not going as easy as I had hoped. But I couldn't Not make a post on January 26, 1986..
damn, I did it again.
