It Happens Every Fall
As the Baseball Season ends, and the Football Season starts, one more thing takes over my head...The New Fall TV lineup.
And nothing upsets me more than when two or more of the show I want to watch are up against each other. It started tonight, but thank God that F/X repeats it's shows. Tuesday's will be kinda rough with Boston Leagal and Nip/Tuck both on at 9pm. I've been hooked on Nip/Tuck for years, but following Desperate Housewives last year, BL became a show I had to watch, not just for Shattner, but because one of the hottest women on TV was on the show-Rhona Mitra (A close second to Nikki Cox). So Nip/Tuck says if you can't beat them, join them, and Rhona is on their show too. Luckily, having Tivo in one room and a VCR in another, this will be an easy problem to solve, But Thursday's at 7 will be the most difficult.
WB - Smallville, CBS - Survivor, UPN - Everyone Hates Chris
Smallville is no contest my favorite show on TV. I am on 5 different websites devoted to the show daily. The back story of the Man of Steel might not have 20 great episodes a year, but the ones that are their top episodes are Brilliant. and this year Aquaman, Tom Wopat, & Carrie Fisher come aboard. Survivor is the original "Reality" show. I've applied three times, but no luck. This year seems like their toughest, and they have a former NFL QB - Gary Hogeboom to give the sport fan in me an extra push to watch it. Then the upstart UPN, the same network that brought us Brittney Spears & Kevin Federline's Chaotic, gets Chris Rock. From everything I read and the one episode I've seen, it's hilarious, but unfortunatly it falls to third on the list, and with only two TV's it get's left out.
The rest of the week goes like this:
Monday - Prison Break & Football
Tuesday - My name is Earl & The Office leading in to the 9pm double dip
Wednesday - Lost & Invasion
Thursday - Tough choices at 7pm, but 8pm will be Reunioun, Just for the music in the episodes.
Friday - Threshold, Numb3rs, & Bill Mahr
Saturday Night Live - Steve Carell this week, Napolean Dynomite Next week
Sunday starts early with football all day til 6pm then it's ABC till i go to sleep. Extreme Home Makeover Desperate Housewives, & Grey's Anatomy.
You might be wondering why I would write a blog about TV. well, when you have no money, it's the best entertainment a single guy in his 30's can get. Some people live their lives, some watch other lives live.
I'm a watcher.
